Tui Creek Wood Products was established in 1998.

We manufacture high-quality timber products—made from sustainably sourced Macrocarpa, Oregon and Eucalyptus timbers.

We operate from Warkworth, North Auckland and we supply customers throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Because we are online our store is always open.

History

1998 Founded

The business was established in June 1998 in Christchurch by businessman Justin Sollitt et al, where it specialised in high end Macrocarpa timber for construction and furniture.

2000 Australian Expansion

The business expanded into sawn Radiata Pine framing and dressing grade timber markets in Australia.

2001 North American Expansion

The business expanded further into the clear Radiata moulding grade and finger joint markets in the United States, and the dressing grade market in Canada.

2002 Closure

The business succumbed to closure owing to capitalisation difficulties with a cornerstone shareholder's other business interests, whilst this was committed to expansion into the North American market.

2004 Re-launched

Justin Sollitt recommenced the business based on the original model developed around high end Macrocarpa timber. Critically the business was re-calibrated; to stay out of the commodity based sawn timber trade to focus only on unique, high end, finished products—and Tui Creek being vertically integrated to operate as its own retailer and retail brand.

Over 28+ years since our founding Tui Creek are a leading manufacturer and retailer of solid wood products that are sold throughout New Zealand and Australia.
